
  

About Dr. Lisa Travis
Dr.
Lisa Travis, Director of Upper West Side Dermatology PC, is a
board certified dermatologist. She is a graduate of Cornell
University and received her medical degree from the State
University of New York at Brooklyn. Dr. Travis spent a semester
during medical school working at St. John’s Institute of
Dermatology in London, in the Department of Photobiology. There
she studied the effects of ultraviolet light on the body’s
immune system. She has also performed clinical research and
written multiple articles in the area of vitiligo. Dr. Travis
did her residency in dermatology at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt
Hospital and Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City.
Dr. Travis is a member of a number of professional societies
including The American Academy of Dermatology and the American
Society for Dermatologic Surgery. Dr. Travis is an active staff
member and trains future dermatologists in the departments of
dermatology at Columbia University College of Physicians and
Surgeons and St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital.
Dr. Travis enjoys seeing general dermatology patients with
common and rare skin conditions. She also likes to treat basal
cell, squamous cell and melanoma skin cancers from diagnosis
through surgical removal. Dr. Travis gets great satisfaction
when helping a patient reach their goals of having younger and
more beautiful skin. In addition to medical and surgical
dermatology, Dr. Travis performs a number of cosmetic procedures
including chemical peels, sclerotherapy, botox, restylane,
juvederm, radiesse and sculptra. She also treats rosacea and
dilated blood vessels with laser therapy.
