Children are not simply smaller adults, and many pediatric skin conditions require a different approach to diagnosis and treatment. Upper West Side Dermatology includes two pediatric dermatologists, with expertise that includes the use of lasers and devices for appropriate pediatric conditions.

Dr. James Shea, who is board certified in both dermatology and pediatric dermatology, has particular interests in birthmarks and infantile hemangiomas as well as conditions including alopecia, acne, and psoriasis.
