Dr. Lisa Rothman, MD's Story
Dr. Rothman is a graduate of Yale University, where she studied architecture, and Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons. She trained in dermatology and dermatopathology at NYU’s prestigious Ronald O. Perelman Department of Dermatology. Following her residency and fellowship, Dr. Rothman stayed on as an Assistant Professor at NYU for the first several years of her career. She then moved to Scherl Dermatology, a boutique medical and cosmetic practice in Englewood Cliffs, NJ. She has over 15 peer-reviewed articles in dermatology and dermatopathology.
Dr. Rothman has expertise in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. Her prior training in architecture and visual design informs how she cares for her patients. Medical patients will appreciate her detailed and thorough exam, and cosmetic patients will notice her finely-attuned visual sensibility. She is skilled with botox, fillers, and lasers, and always seeks natural, refreshed, and most importantly, sustainable results for her patients. She has a low-key approach and a gentle demeanor, and does her very best to put all patients at ease.
Dr. Rothman is a mom of four and lives with her family on the UWS. When she is not at the office, you will find her training for the NYC Marathon early in the mornings in Central Park, biking around the neighborhood with her kids in a cargo bike, and at the 79th Street farmers’ market.
